Betty Rae is a retired teacher who has never stopped teaching. Her wisdom and insights are sought by people of all walks of life from all across the country. Betty Rae's sense of fun and joy are ever present in a quick smile to go with a gentle sense of humor.  Her gratious and compassionate heart welcomes friends and strangers alike to visit her at home near Otter Lake, Michigan.  People often see a "bright light" surrounding this petite woman. She claims it's because the angels like to play and have her pegged as a playmate!  Her main source of information comes from the Archangel Raphael, angels and each individual soul. She calls herself a "Tutor, helping people turn what may seem a challenge into life's golden opportunities to gain wisdom."

John Davis, a well-known numerologist said of Betty Rae, "She is a master teacher, a bright light who lets others shine."

While attending the Whole Life Expo in Denver, Betty Rae received a psychic reading from the well-known author, Doreen Virtue. She said, "My! You have a lot of angels surrounding you. Did you know that?" Betty Rae smiled and answered, "Yes," because she had been giving information from the angels for individuals non-stop for two days. Then Ms. Virtue also saw that the Archangel Raphael was working with Betty Rae.

After asking God to be a healer of souls rather than bodies, Betty Rae's prayers were answered in a way she had never expected. As a spiritual woman, becoming a "Psychic" was not in her plans. And yet, for over fifty years this gentle woman has brought thousands of people inner peace and joy from the wisdom received from her guides, angels and Archangel Raphael. When people praise her work, she shrugs and says that she is just a simple teacher, bringing her students a wider perspective of choices along their life's path.

With her great desire to serve God, her path has taken her through many experiences: four years in obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree from Central Michigan University; becoming a mother of three boys and one daughter; taking many night classes to obtain her Masters in Education from Wayne State University; publishing educational and spiritual books; teaching for thirty years as a music and Language Arts teacher; living through a divorce after 32 years of marriage; experiencing her joyous new marriage to Joseph D. Calleja; and the pain of his lingering illness that concluded in his passing in August of 2003.

As in each life, the joys and sorrows mold the soul. It is how life is expressed that counts. Betty Rae has chosen to express love and joy even to those who choose hate and mean-spiritedness.  She calls it "transmuting dark energy into God's light." It is why she has called her home Rays of Joy. Just visiting her spacious home and beautiful grounds makes you smile.

We invite you to visit, to enjoy the company of positive, uplifting people, to enjoy the peace and serenity of Betty Rae's home in the woods.
