Native American Medicine Wheel

Honoring Native American spirituality, Rays of Joy has created a large Medicine Wheel dedicated to spiritual, emotional, mental and physical healing. Each of the four quadrants represent one of the above. The large stone in the center represents God or the "Great Spirit," which is depicted in the Thunderbird mosaic on the large old cherry tree beside the wheel. Each stone has a symbol representing a totem animal or a native clan, or a season.

Rays of Joy has a small booklet explaining each stone's significance. Meditation in the wheel brings inner visions to enlighten and heal the body, mind, emotions and spirit.

View with back to "Totem Tree"

This view of the Medicine Wheel looks out over the large field with the Labyrinth in the distance. Large old trees dot the landscape. Beside the Wheel is an old apple tree shading a large bench for meditation for those unable to sit within the wheel.

Since this land was once occupied by the Potowatame Indians (I'm not sure of the spelling!), it has many wonderful energy vortexes where they used the land for their summer campgrounds and had many spiritual ceremonies, leaving the land blessed with wonderful uplifting energy.
